About us

I have been using cameras for more years than I care to remember!

Starting with a Kodak Instamatic 25 in the late '60s shooting mainly slides, through various 35mm format SLR cameras including the Pentax ME Super, shooting with Black and White as well as colour film.

Past Cameras

During this period, I developed many of my prints using my own darkroom equipment.

When digital cameras first appeared in the shops, I was not very impressed with the quality. When I eventually purchased my first digital camera, I was still reluctant to switch from using film.

Times change, technology moves on at a rapid pace and now I rarely take photographs that are not digital.

For professional results, I use digital SLR cameras with interchangeable lenses. I shoot mainly using RAW format - think of it as a digital negative - whereas shooting in JPEG format loses some detail to varying degrees. Thus giving me the best format for processing in various image editing packages including Adobe Photoshop CS3.

I don't publish RAW files on the website due to their file size (minimum 14MB each).
